Not Your Average Smoothie

I literally can't get past this smoothie combo. I first made it one day when I was craving a smoothie and just decided to bang together a mix of whatever I had at home. Sometimes these are the recipes that turn out the best. It was love at first sip for me and i've never looked back. 


This smoothie has become a staple in my diet and every person i've shared it with has loved it also. One thing I always stress is my secret ingredient and I swear it makes a difference. I know that you're straight away wondering what that "secret ingredient" is and if i'm going to share it. I'd be lying if I told you I hadn't debated with myself whether to share it or not but upon some deep thought, I am going to share it. Because sharing is caring and this smoothie is just too good not to share and you need the secret ingredient to fully grasp the deliciousness. 

This secret ingredient is something I try and add to everything I make and its... drum roll... LOVE! I know for sure some of you will be all like "are you serious!" and will probably have a little laugh but I swear to the universe and all the stars that when you add a little love to your food and how you prepare it, it tastes way better. How? Simples. Just grab a teaspoon and imagine tipping in some love. 

Get this smoothie into your life. Its totally on trend and to all my vegan fam, its vegan friendly too. 



1 frozen banana

4-5 frozen strawberries

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1 tablespoon flax meal 

1 tablespoon chia or hemp seeds

1 tablespoon natural peanut butter

2 teaspoons cacao powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup of rice milk - you may need to add a little more depending on your desired consistency


How to make

Bang it all into your blender, vitamix or nutri-bullet and whizz it up until all smooth. 

I drink it straight out of the nutri-bullet cup but if thats not your jam then you do you. If you’re feeling extra fancy you could turn it into a smoothie bowl and sprinkle some granola or nuts and seeds on top.
